Fermented Garlic Honey

Ingredients

  • 2 cups whole garlic cloves, peeled
  • 1 cup raw local honey (or enough to fully submerge the garlic cloves)

Directions

  1. In a mason jar add your peeled garlic cloves and cover completely with honey

  2. “Burp” the jar every other day for the first week to release gas that has built up from the fermentation process

  3. Mixture is ready after 3-4 weeks or when the honey has thinned and no more air is released when opening lid

  4. Store in a pantry or cupboard away from light and moisture

  5. Good for 1 year after canned date
