Fresh green beans are always a wonderful addition to any meal, but adding a burst of flavor with lemon zest and minced garlic takes them to a whole new level. Lemon zest provides a bright and tangy flavor that perfectly complements the slight sweetness of the green beans. Minced garlic adds a deeper, savory flavor that amplifies the natural flavors of the beans. Whether you're preparing a simple weeknight dinner or a fancy holiday feast, your guests will be impressed with this delicious side dish.

Ingredients
1lb fresh organic green beans (washed, trimmed, completely drained)
2 tbsp avocado oil
1 organic lemon, zested and juiced
3 cloves fresh garlic, chopped or minced
½ tsp Himalayan pink salt
Directions
Preheat oven to 400°.
Toss all ingredients in a bowl or ziplock bag, ensuring that the beans are well and evenly coated. If using a bowl, your hands work best. If using a ziplock, massage the bag to achieve the desired result
Let the beans rest for about 5 minutes to allow the flavors to absorb a bit. While the beans are resting, line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper
Spread the beans out evenly on the parchment paper and roast on the middle rack of the oven for 15 minutes, stirring half way through the cooking time

I followed recipe, green beans never got soft for my taste. I bought more fresh ones and steamed them until right softness, tossed them in the avocado oil, lemon and crushed garlic.. delicious, can eat them cold or hot.
